Ok – we had now a week full with activity ! And this week ended even with NFP. So it was a week with valuable days of strong moves and that means, days good for serious testing of the bots and their settings !

Firstly the good new: The Matilda-GBPUSD is doing her job – unimpressed by the market stories ! That’s great !

On the other hand we see some pairs in big trouble !

After a month or so we can see some little only tendencies … perhaps.

1. The EURCAD blow the account – we are out !
2. Pairs running in a terrible way, DD much higher then 20% - I must be candid, I think they’ll soon crash the acc’s: USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPCAD, EURAUD, GBPAUD, AUDJPY, USDCAD, CADJPY, AUDNZD, EURGBP !
3. Good candidates, DD between 10-20% only: GBPUSD, GBPJPY, AUDCHF, CADCHF, GBPNZD, NZDCAD, NZDUSD, EURJPY !
4. The best pairs so far (!) (BUT: running them only a short time !), DD lower then 10%: EURUSD, AUDUSD, CHFJPY, GBPCHF, AUDCAD, USDSGD, USDTRY, SGDJPY, EURNZD, EURCHF, NZDJPY, NZDCHF !

Of course I don’t known what’ll be in some weeks or months looking again that survey of surviving pairs posted above in form of these 4 items. I’m very skeptic about positive results – I expect, that most of the now tradable “good” and “best” pairs will become unsuccessful or untradeable ! There is reason for a pair to remain for ever calm or wild trending ! The markets are unpredictable – and that’s the main difficulty for all the bots !

And another lesson we have to learn looking we multipairs accounts. Never ever start with more then ONE pair. Even using only good and best pairs we DD in summary may rise up very quickly and at the end it could easily crash the acc even after a longer successful time of trading – we saw that yesterday: the most successful acc GP 9 crashed after almost 5 months trading and winning !

All the results gotten by the Matilda are amazing !
But some questions may arise:
1. Why is the GBPUSD so successful ? Could it be so successful for ever ?
2. Is there any miracle in the code or is it simply “overoptimized” … anyway all that doesn’t matter at the end … but it’s important to have an idea about that !
3. Can other pairs do the same good job like the GBPUSD ? And again – WHY ?
4. Why, starting a new account with the same bot and the same settings with the same pair, we have a quite different trading behavior ? So its even possible for the “good” GBPUSD, that the acc is running after the start immediately into a DD, but running a longer time its changing into something like a “rhythm” swinging with the PA. After that DD’s never appear …. again: so far ?


Another grid trader Jose coded is now in the portfolio: “TheBullRunner” and Steves “Fractalated Bob” started already some day ago. Both are working well … so far.
I plan to start the OAD as well.

Forgot to say - I had to stop the Matilda-BB attempt. The settings aren't good. Only 7-8 pips wins ... but SL is 300 pips. So no chance for surviving ! Sooner or later the SL will be hit and the gains disappear in short time. We have that already - look that acc with Matilda-BB in the TGTFX2 archive.
These bots are up: OAD, 2 more versions of the FB with different settings and the CF Gold 6.

you are right about the Matilda-BB. The only timeframe that is adecuate for this bot (and for all the Matildas) is the 4 hour. Any minor time than that will kill the account.

I've notice that Cuad LX, CCXL or Paparazzi handling selling position on euraud, eurcad, gbpaud, gbpcad are better that buying position.

I'm letting paparazzi running for 6month and it destroy by euraud buying

So: today we got a lesson to learn. Even using the all in all very successful matilda on H4 with GBPUSD we may loose ! Had a 3k demo on my VPS with GBPUSD (+GBPJPY+USDSGD+SGDJPY+AUDUSD !) as usual ... hmmm, as usual ? Not, it was not usual bcz to much pairs were running on that acc - so this one failed. The bot jumped in, unfortunately went immediatly into the "wrong" direction from start and couldn't withstand the strong GBP trend caused by the "scottish events". So again - start your Empty4-platform only with one pair, let it run for a longer time on demo. The trading behavior on this acc will come into the right "PA rhythm". That means: it seems the bot may start with a nasty DD's, BUT surviving this DD in the beginning it will (may) further do a pretty good job. As I could observe it on my numerous demos - the first trades may go bad but during further trading the accounts recover step by step (if not blown earlier ). After this first period of (demo)trading (with possible DD's) on your paltform switch to a live acc on the same platform.

The DD of 17 %, as I remember, occured only in the start phase - further I didn't see any high DD's !

In this case we were in luck from the same start, the bot never was in deep DD's until now !

And again - this one started with 15 % DD - but now it is swimming perhaps in a calm sea ? Any storms ahead ?
