cable still has not come back to cover. Horrible trading on my part was up over 40 pips on one and did not move stop now out a lot. That is what I get for thinking it would go instead of doing what is correct. If I had moved stop or set computer to do it at 40 pips to BE I would have gotten taken out and not be upside down on that trade . Well we all make mistakes now I have to wait it out. But am sure they will cover I have buy limits in place for ride up. This is my idea. You must trade your way. This is way further out than it should be but the gap was also way bigger than normal. My second trade was a good entry it was mis managed. Break rules and you pay. One can always reenter. Yes I know look what I could have made just riding it down. That is how the fox wants you to think and sometimes it works. Has to keep you in the game. This might be one of those that just doesn't work. They do happen. It is part of it. My other calls all hit. I still am not sure if jpy usd is going to reverse. I took it up to near previous high. But once it broke that high it was not a pattern match anymore to some degree. They do not always match perfect. But you have to set some sort of standard. Breaking that high was a clue. Now look for a BARF set up to exit the long and short it back. That would be my thought on the pair.

Re the GBP there's major constitutional reform taking place within the U.K. with Scottish vote for independence next week there's sure to be some interesting price action played out. Any uncertainty over the future of the UK tend to weaken the GBP so we may indeed some major chop for the next week as new positions are established.

Pt to note, notice that in this case, the 2nd peak high didnt surpass the original peak high

but in USDJPY (current), the previous peak high is already broken, not exactly the same pattern here..
Well my pattern recognition seems to have a few flaws.
Time to go back to the lab ...

Thats the inherent problem with pattern recognition, or rather humans. We tend to fit what we know into what we see, when it should be the other way round. I also suffer from the same syndrome as well.

Actually the screenshot that i gave shows the MN pattern, if u zoom to the weekly, it is showing another pattern, with the same direction as the MN. Thats' why i'm long USDJPY.

I'm aiming for slow and steady growth so just a single trade that goes my way is sufficient. i'm content to wait a whole month for one of these to appear

No the pattern was setting up. You have to make sure it completes. That is why others were saying to make sure the top held. When it did not then a long was in order. If it did then your lower time frame would have played out. That is the lab work. You saw it correctly. The hard part is playing it correctly. Look the mess I got on the cable. By not waiting. Right now the cable looks ready to go at least one more step down. I should have been short this whole time. Then hit the long when the pattern set up. See slipshodes tread and viedo very good on support and resitance and supply and demand.

Have taken trades for above

Admittedly, it's taking longer than I hoped, though NZD seems to be getting the memo...

GBP sells after reaching/covering the gap also triggered, hope they can cover good ground

.
Obviously I was very wrong  :(

Cut my losses where I could and reversed where possible
