Hmm ... reading all that interesting stuff about the CSS I have a simple question: Why the hell does the first version 1 (without any additional indis and filters !) work so good.... so far ?
We all know it: more indis and filters will prevent good trades too, the overall number off trades of course will be reduced ! But it seems the real selection between good and bad, winner and loosers isnt specific enough.
Anyway, using that CSS is probably worth a shot. The best would be to have a MFXB links for continous watching of the bot's trading behaviour.

My intent is not to "curve" fit. The 1st version of FB probably works because of the prevailing market conditions, different broker feeds and human intervention. I'm also aware of filtering out the "good" trades vs "bad". CSS does not aways "work". More of finding higher probability setups.

I agree with this AGT... it's worth the shot...
Myself on the other hand have used the version with other filters but when i was using the first version that time was so good also... and i was just using tp10 for closures in profit.

Because it does what we are supposed to do and trades in the direction of the overall trend. When one pair goes into a deep retrace, even one the eventually heralds a trend change, others pull the overall position into profit.
Also because the fractals have to be moving in the right direction, so we are better able to avoid trading against the retrace. Then again because the sheer number of trades that can be generated at prices close to one another mean that when the pair resumes/carries on the trend, the pair moves into profit quickly.
Anyone who wants to trade as I originally posited can do so with the latest version - just turn off all the bells and whistles. There is a lot to be said for it as the very first pic in post 1 shows.
Read the effing manual, ok?
Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.
I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

My special thanks to Thomas (tomele) for all the incredible work he does here.
Is it possible to add a Close on Friday feature to MPTM?
Several of my demo's were in profit on Friday and I was thinking that having the ability to select the time of closure (or any time after) if the basket is in profit by % or TPDollars would be a useful tool / addition.
As a note I'm also finding the original version without the H4 240ma filter is doing well, so quodos for the original idea / strategy...some of the most simple (meaning not too many indicators) are the best
Sorry to bother you...but
Where can I find a copy of the trade recorder/publisher that you used above, Steve?
Thanks for the enormous amount of work you have put into this.
Regards,
