As long as the rules are adhered to, then I can see this time time frame as being potentially better in the long run as far as profitability is concerned.
When I first put the system together I did trial the higher time frames but as I only worked with a few pairs the viability was questionable. It seems that your approach factors this in beautifully and that "safety in numbers" is what comes to mind which makes it perhaps a better proposition.

Ideally if I can get this MA cross ea that addresses the 3ma and 8ma crossover to work, it would be a perfect exit strategy. Although in the higher time frames this could equate to many pips
I noticed that you can see the value in entry with the signal and corresponding MA colour. It is important that members take heed of instructions relating to this.

Obviously I have not spent much time on the exit component just yet, but interested in seeing how effective the MA crossover will be...hopefully it will be what we need.
And definitely agree about the signal and MA colours coinciding...this is non negotiable in my opinion!

so you might want to clarify it just in case anyone else makes my mistake.
I knocked up a EA and while running it in the strategy tester just to check code of course, I may have caught a glimpse of the results and the SMA ones had higher DD and less profit.
Messed up the demo running this in my signature, wrong lot size was used and I shouldn't have started it up before the Sunday gaps, leaving it running for now just to see if it follows the rules in real time, with my coding skills I'm guessing not.
