I think there is some confusion here zader...I will check post 1 in case I have not been clear enough :?

Again...exactly how I trade, wait for the candle to close before a trading decision is made.
Once a week I check the weekly charts on Monday morning open of trading to see the direction for the week, then trade each morning if the set up is there.

If anything it'll be me maybe not making myself clear, looking at your AUDNZD trade taken today it was on the open of the current candle with a chance of the multi ma's changing colour, my EA checks the close of the candle so D1 89ema was still blue. My EA took the open of the circled candle>

Does that make sense?

haha yes, definitely you are correct...I've just checked back at my screen shot and I broke my own rules :arrrg: The very bottom dot on 'my' trigger candle was yellow. (Perhaps I should wear my glasses when trading lol) Technically the trade should have been taken today oops :arrrg:

If you've read Shelleys rules in post 1 there's not much to say, I think the only difference is I set it to only work on closed candles so as not to get any false/early signals, this might leave some pips on the table but could also save some only time will tell.
I was most familiar with the Fractalated Bob code so butchered that to get it working and when I say butchered I'm not being modest, as a coder I've gone from completely useless to where I am now at mostly useless.
Happy to share it here unless Steve delete's it for what I've done to his code.

FOR DEMO USE ONLY!!

Hi intcust, yes according to John's original directions the cross over indicator should be set to 1 and 20.
the 3 and 8 are for the ma's on the chart. ;)

Only a suggestion, honestly I would hate for anyone to lose real money from some coding error I've made and so far it's only been running on my demo account for 1 week, no where near enough testing to trust it live.

Just a heads up, looking at the trade history and see an AUDJPY buy trade closed even with the weekly trend still up, close look through the code and I see it was set to close on Daily trend change not weekly :arrrg: just something I was trying and forgot to change back, looks to have saved a few pips but its not according to Shelleys rules. This one has weekly trend change close or you can stick with daily, I'll make one that both and you can choose which one to use later.

thanks for sharing your EA Zader and your results are pretty awesome

To everyone else, zader coded this EA if he is unsure of his code than I would definitely suggest you heed his advice to NOT use on a LIVE account :arrrg:
