Only if you have nothing to do for now. I uploaded them because I could see there were people hanging around and thought they might like to play.

I am adding the TmaTrue stuff and will post the latest update in post 1 as usual, along with some explanation, later.

:D
Steve, that is awesome! I'd best notify the wife she is going to be neglected yet again tonight!
She sure is. I am just doing some tea and will finish off later.

Tell Her Ladyship that she cannot expect you any time soon, but that I am to blame.

Latest update in post 1 adds the TMA functionality to trigger the initial trades. My description in post 1 is sketchy. It uses the TMA code from TIB to draw upper and lower boundary lines in yellow. When the market touches the lines, the bot sends the initial trades. I am writing this here because I forgot to add it to post 1 and cannot be bothered to do so now. If any mods are reading this, please feel free to save me a job by doing so yourself; you would be doing me a huge favour.

At the mo, there is no flexibility in the tma settings, as I simply wanted to get them up and running. I will add settings flexibility tomorrow.

For now, I have been coding this all day and am exhausted. Do not ask for anything else from me. You will not enjoy the reply.

Today has been the most remarkably warm March day that I have experienced here in the UK. The evening is equally warm and pleasant, so I am taking a whiskey into the garden to enjoy the night air.

Have fun.

Enjoy the evening (and the whiskey). Since moving to Africa I have an occasional wistful longing for those balmy spring evenings in England. Then I pinch myself and remember that they occur once or twice per decade. The first year I spent in Sheffield it snowed ... in June ... :D

Thank you Steve, enjoy the whiskey and sunset, I am testing like a fiend on 2 boxes and will share the results, should I get something worth sharing.

That would be an awsome feature. :P
If you can code this in to the EA, then this EA will be unbeatable.

I would probably have the same feature at the lower lever though like 5 buys and 5 sells as well. User selectable. maybe one at level 5 and one at the levels you suggested. Just an idea. That would suit traders with smaller accounts.
Personally I would not let the EA to rack up 10 buys and sells at the same time. You run low on margins then. If you have a 10K account with small lot size, then the 10 buys and 10 sells target is OK and no issue.

The key to this EA is to find the right pip step and the corresponding lot size to your account balance.
This will make constant profit for you. I think this is one of the best EAs around. Worthy of fine tuning it to perfection.

Frank
Steve,

I hope this helps you with the quest to add that function to the EA.

I am running GBPJPY :
Pips between trades: 26
Lot size is : 0.3
Cash profit target is $45
Account size is $2000

I was visually watching the EA turning a negative profit level to positive. This is the point we are looking to minimize loss and close all trades when we have too many open trades on each side as you mentioned.

In this case : I had the 2 initial buy and sell trades open + 1 extra buy trades
on the other side I had the original sell trade from the opening + 3 extra sell trades. The DD turned to $0 almost at the time the EA was just about to open the fifth trade. A couple of pips away from opening the fifth.
Maybe the way to do it is to monitor equity level and if we have a certain number of trades already open on both sides, the EA will close off all trades at the $0 point. This way we clean the table and start again.
I am sure this situation will hardly ever happen, but just in case.

So in summary I had 2 x buy and 4 x sell trades just about to open the fifth, when the DD turned to $0.

Just want to update on this account.

Gertje: Original version

In 2 days it is standing at 21% profit (Equity as well) as per the settings below $432 profit:

Pips between trades: 27
Lot size is : 0.3
Cash profit target is $43
Account size is $2000

One more update in post 1, implementing an idea that came to me whilst loading the bot onto my demo.

We do not need the Tma emulation updating once the lines are drawn on the chart. At the mo, G performs the emulation at every tick; this involves a call to the Moving Average and Atr indi's.

Instead, much better to leave the lines static until trades are triggered and they are deleted. The latest version emulates Tma once only, then leaves the lines alone - this also makes them manually adjustable.

This will save some processor-hammering.

It is also irrelevant if you do not want the Tma emulation, so ignore the last two updates unless you plan using it.
