do you use an indicator to identify Supply and Demand Levels?

No indicators, I'm a naked trader. The supply/demand levels are easy to identify once you know what to look for. Watch Sam's videos because this is his core strategy and he covers it in every video.

Hi there,

I have read Sam's stuff sometimes ago now and I always found it difficult to qualify how "fresh" a level is. It seems to all depend on how far you go back on your chart. If it is not an issue for you, would appreaciate if you could share your wisdom on this.

Thx

Hi Zyp,
sorry I am just now seeing your reply on this. Must've missed the forum reminder due to holidays...

Anyway, just wanted to say... I'm no expert on this method, but my philosophy is that less thinking = better. Basically I take all trades that fit my set of rules, and being "fresh" is one of the core requirements.

When price extends in an extreme fashion, I find that this is often the beginning of a setup. The origin of the extreme move is frequently a good supply or demand level. When price comes back to that area, I am ready and waiting to execute the trade.

With that said... be careful of ranging/consolidating markets where price seems to be going nowhere. I prefer a trending market (even slow overall trend) with the extreme move. If the bigger picture chart shows that price is really not trending in either direction, then I probably wouldn't take that setup.

Initially I had determined the trading zone, then got the bullish engulf at 06:15 - set a trap expecting a retrace.
Entered 2 trades - first trade existed ok and I had a reversal SELL trade setup at this price. Suddenly realised it made no sense to give away profit if I expected a strong reversal - Closed the 2nd trade, banking profit BUT and missed the Sell opportunity.

You read that one very well. Hit the entry zone and move out like a bunch of soldiers.
Great job.
