Dictionary definition of stratagem: a plan or scheme, especially one used to outwit an opponent or achieve an end. Means the same as, 'strategy'. The English language makes use of 'synonyms'. These are words that mean the same thing. For example, in my Thingies thread I will have described myself as loving, adoring and worshiping the kids I come into contact with. The meaning of all these adjectives is the same in the context of this thread. I am a tad on the fond side of these kids and would stop at nothing to protect them. They can also be confusing. Take "worship" for example. I would not build a shrine to any of them and bow down to them as some sort of God. Here I am just using the adjective to indicate that I am a tad on the fond side of them. Sometimes the only way to make sense of something written in English is to take close note of the context in which it is written - and that is even before we get into how it is spoken out loud. English is easy when it is your native language as it is mine. Must be a total sod else. You do rather well Thomas.   |

This would be my first post. So I am writing this with a risk of exposing myself as complete fool.  Anyhow, I was wondering if this version of SPB does not use Gap Fill Trades or Recovery Trades, so why would SPB open more trades per symbol than what is specified in the initial grid size. My Grid size is also set at 5 and right now I have total 9 (both pending & filled) trades open for AUDCAD. Can you plz explain to a newbie what parameters / circumstances make SPB open more than what is specified in initial grid size  : Thanks for your patience. |

Hi there, i created a variation of SPB3 with some code from the 'Weekly Peaky Bob' (http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... p?p=162948). Basically it adds a trade filter from the code in WPB: - SS has to agree with 'Weekly' to enter a trade. - There is a close when either SS or the Weekly gives an opposing signal So i guess this one should be called Weekly Slopey Peaky Bob: WSPB. I have no idea how this thing will behave, i guess it will trade less and should exit trades faster, hopefully reducing drawdown. I will start it this monday, fingers crossed. I may have changed some settings compared to the original SPB3, be aware of that. |
