Actually the opposite this makes the CHF tradable again. When bad news hits you know traders will run to the Swiss for safety. Wait for it to settle then look for your buys or just jump in. You can bet the farm if Greece departs the Euro.Joskezz » Thu Jan 15, 2015 12:06 pm wrote:@nanningbob
Would you advise us never to trade CHF pairs again or would you consider this occurence a one off? A lot of people seem to be wanting to stop trading it altogether.

The drop on the Swiss Stock exchange costs 127 billion today ( that's 127.000.000.000 )nanningbob » Thu Jan 15, 2015 2:39 pm wrote:SNB has been buying EUROs for 3 years and have a lot to unload. Guess the SNB has some explaining to do in house....

Today's episode on CHF crosses reminded me of what Bob's says many times about position size, if I got hit today (thankfully my SL worked on CHFJPY) with the entire 2000 pips move I would still have my trousers on, maybe not my jacket, but at least wouldn't be naked

SNB has billions of dollars in foreign currencies and they just can't keep up. It had to be done before 22Jan anyway.Gertje » Thu Jan 15, 2015 10:36 pm wrote:The drop on the Swiss Stock exchange costs 127 billion today ( that's 127.000.000.000 )nanningbob » Thu Jan 15, 2015 2:39 pm wrote:SNB has been buying EUROs for 3 years and have a lot to unload.
