Correct me if I'm wrong, GBPJPY is in the "DT-RR" -- Downtrend Retracement scenario. Hence, you mentioned in page 1: "RRs are traded in the bias direction only after the retrace reaches MP and weakens as retracements can be strong soon after a higher TF high/low & bias alert emerges.".

What I would like to clarify is: So, in this GBPJPY case, did you mean to put in a pending Sell just slightly below the MP, which would constitute a correct entry (if PA decides to go back to MP & below that is)?
Hi wBear,
Correct. GBPJPY is in DT-RR formation. But this retracement IS strong and did not weaken AT MP. PA has gone beyond MP and MP didn't weaken it. It is in fact leading DP and WP upwards into what looks likely to be an emerging UT formation like in early October. Of all the formations, the DT-RR where PA and DP are crossing MP needs the most care because price then has no strong support/resistance to settle it down.

Putting a Sell below MP with SL above FastTMALines would destroy the trading edge for me. I would infact watch for price to first hit some resistance (in this case by exceeding the FastTMALine significantly or by creating a MTF high). Then I will place a short entry close to the upper FastTMALine as TMASlope weakens (if by then no clear emerging bias has been signalled - I won't sell if a UT is emerging!). This should give me a good edge.

Cheers,
CC

Hope me fighting the trend ends now. I know the pic says UT, but right before I took trade, it was emerging trend where I took the trade. Obviously EA (and my understanding) still needs some work, but I am exiting when opposite white target arrives on any TF H4 > W1, not including MN1 white targets for exit? Also, you exit as soon as you get the white target?

Kindest regards,

Don
Don,
I would love to help you but you are obviously not applying the CTS template - no MP or FastTMALines. I cannot tell you what to do with your own variation of the system. It's entirely your own call :D

I am applying YOUR strategy. The Tma resistance line is above what you can see - off screen.

Now knowing I'm going by your strategy (or at least you can point out where I'm not, like you could check your EURUSD H1 chart and tell me where I am NOT using your system, and also please answer do you see what I showed as far as my criminal screwing with me???)

Have I already done something to offend? If so, what?

Don
No offense whatsoever (I rarely am or I wouldn't be CoolnCalm, would I? :D )

Now please how on earth have you ended up placing buy & sell orders where there can possibly be no chance on earth of getting an edge? CTS certainly did not propose this. infact, it advocates the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you have done (buy near the lower Line where your TP/SL ratios can be at least 2; sell near the upper band).

The pair should have only BUY orders because it has a UT bias. Close all your sell orders asap. The buy order should be taken nearer the lower Line after a price low and momentum weakness (as long as that low is not coming immediately after a strong MTF high that will cause retracement to MP).

I hope that helps.

disbellj,

Please see comments in-line below:
disbellj wrote:CC,

The sells I've had on a long time. Remember? No they were not put on by your strategy. They are way at bottom. GOOD , SO THIS IS NOT CTS

The sell I took at top before was because:
1. HPTP was close to upper TMA Band on H4, within 10 pips, showing Market Bias as emerging reversal. THIS TOO IS NOT CTS AS HPTP CANNOT BE NEAR THE UPPER BAND IN A UT WHERE NO EDGE IS POSSIBLE
2. Because at beginning of bar, TmaSlope was lower than last bar, and lower than 0.8 - it was weakening. WEAKENING FOR A SELL; IT WEAKENS UPWARDS ABOVE -0.8 OR -0.55 FOR A BUY
3. TmaTrueSlope was in SELL mode. NO SELLS IN A UT
4. Maybe I'm using wrong code to implement, but on same bar all 3 conditions were met, where maybe I need to make sure none of the conditions take place on same bar. ITS NOT THE CODE THAT'S WRONG; ITS YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF CTS - PLEASE RE-READ UNTIL UNDERSTOOD. I PROMISE IT WILL BE WORTH THE EFFORT :D

Now, the buy I am taking because the sell went into profit 35 pips and then took it back in the short time it took me to write the post and post pics that were basically not even looked at for what I needed, and MarkerBias went back to UT. OK, SO CTS IS NOT BEING APPLIED HERE EITHER

disbellj it isn't fair to take up CNC's valuable time when you clearly haven't put the time in to study and understand the system. You aren't going to be able to trade the system in a day, it takes time. I hope this doesn't offend you, it's just a bit of constructive criticism. Good luck.

Don't take it to heart Don :) one thing you can't do is argue with the person that created the system about how it works. There's probably a breakdown in communication somewhere so no hard feelings. Just try re-read the instructions again and you'll have a eureka moment where everything fits into place. If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again..
