Thank you everyone for your support we have been able to push the total to 79%+ of what we need to help Karl with the first week of hospital funds. The charity time limit is 15 more days so it looks good to reaching our goal. God bless each and everyone of you.

I apologize for not posting an update for a few days. I received and email from Karl Nelson explaining that the surgery to place the pins in Noah's head went well, but was a scary procedure. Noah's biggest fear is that when the doctor comes in periodically to give the spike screws a twist, is that the screws will go all the way through the skull. The family was able to get the doctor to slow down and talk with them and Noah about the procedure to give them ease of mind. Noah is developing some red spots on the back of his head due to not being able to move in the bed. He is in good spirits and his appetite is continuing to return. I visited Noah today in the hospital. It was bright cheerful and we shared some jokes and laughs. The most painful part of the visit though was watching the doctor come in and tighten the screws that hold the traction on his head and neck vertebrae. The doctor comes in and loosens the screws for a period of time and then they tighten them up again. It was time to tighten and you could tell it was a painful experience. They do this procedure to make sure he doesnt get bed sores or sores on his head. He still has two more weeks of traction and then he will be healed up enough to start physical therapy. Hopefully he will be able to go home after they take him off of traction. Anyway he is kind of counting the days. 14 days to go home or thereabout. The final date wont be set until he gets out of traction. Karl thanks you for your thoughts and prayers and appreciates every single one of them.

We are less than 600 dollars from our fundraising goal. Thank you so much for your help.

What an amazing story. I don't have much, but I will contribute to Noah from my next paycheck.

I really appreciate the information and expertise provided on this site. It is nice to be able to give back.
