Multi Monitor normally isn't a big issue for Linux anymore. I run Empty4 under wine 1.6.2 in Linux Mint XFCE 17.3 with an external Monitor on my laptop (expanding laptop monitor). Just try a live version of a recent Linux distro and see if it works. Had a problem installing Empty4 though but you could just copy your Windows Empty4 folder and under Linux it will make a fresh portable version.
CPU usage might be high though 6 open stations will need some power. Just test it in a live version and than consider going dual boot if you like it.

Yes it was only one instance of Empty4 and it was hammering the CPU intensely. I could understand this being a problem on Celeron but with a Corei7 4790K and 32GB RAM with SSD everything that just didn't seem right to me.

I did try the latest Mint "Rosa" I think it was. It seemed very nice but it kept crashing on me for some reason.
I do enjoy Linux as it's the best platform for development outside of Trading Apps. But I'm a trader not an application programmer. If someone would make a platform for us things would be really nice.

Also I been looking at cTrader lately. It seems like a nice Windows platform that has a lot of functionality we need as traders built into Empty4 but I have to use off shore accounts to trade it. Current US restrictions prohibit trading like the rest of the planet. You guys outside USA should feel honored that you don't have the same bunch of morons running your country like we do.
