I would just like to add to the long string of followers here offering their appreciation for such great generosity for HGI and what has come before. Sadly, I was too late to the party and missed the meeting of super minds in London today, living a stones throw away from where Bob and Co. were scheduled to meet for lunch. What a missed opportunity that was! That said I am a real fan of all the great techniques put together here. Many thanks to all involved. Look forward to sharing the results! |

Bob, glad to see that you are enjoying your 'stopping-all-stations-and-putting-faces-to names' holiday. Please add my name to the long list of thanks for HGI. I have a request to make if I may! Bob, despite many attempts to change (thanks and apologies to Steve & Tomasso for their valiant efforts Accordingly, I included an alert in my "Ducks' system that triggers the platform's alert.wav, whenever my 2 main indicators cross as the trend direction changes, that I can hear; and which enables me to check the screen at the first available opportunity. Bob, Denis & Tomasso, I love your wavy lines!! Recognising that there may well be many others in similar 'time-challenged' circumstances as me, when you do your next HGI update, would you please add a similar ('turn on/off') sound alert function to the 'wavy lines' indicator??? Thanks for your time now. I really appreciate everything that you have done and shared with us. I wish you both a very happy and safe 'rest-of-your-holidays', Christmas and New Year. Cheers Doc |

For whatever reason I had not seen the way you stack trades. I have read all of your material and studied all of your templates. It is amazing that you have distilled all those years of work, trial and error, and directed learning into one indicator. I realize the significance of the manner in which you trade and have begun a live test on a very small live account. I will trade GBPNZD only and trade it until the indicator expires in April. I will post my results. You have made it very difficult to fail considering that we need only follow this indicator. You have put in strict money management parameters. In short you have given another complete system. This is your best one going away. Your methods are even FIFO compliant for here in the states. Very impressive! |

We have had this discussion at FF and the debate was quite heated. How do you post results in a way that shows progress. 1. By total pips? That may or maynot show progress. 1000 pips x 1 penny equals 10 bucks or 20 pips at 1 dollar is 20 bucks. 2. How about percentage of account? 1% of a 100,000 equals 1000 dollars or 100% of 300 dollars is 300 bucks. 3. How much money you make? One guy makes 1000 a day on a million dollar account but another tries for 50 bucks on a 300 dollar account. 4. Scalpers who play 100 bucks a pip and just look for 5 pip profit and am done. No matter what you use you can leave a false impression of what is really going on. Somehow you have to show progress or an ability to do something. To me success or failure is what happened with a series of trades over a move. If a move from top to bottom is 150 pips I know with one trade it is impossible to hit the entrance at the absolute top and exit at the absolute bottom. If you can get 30-50% of a move you are doing good. However, if you stack trades you can hit over 150 pips. If I get over 100% of the move, I nailed it. If I get 30% I consider myself average. If I am CT trading because I read the market wrong and it goes 500 pips against me buying but I still collected 200 pips selling the dips I am tickled that I squeezed the market. It is difficult to really show success or failure in this business. The very best traders are in the 15-40% increase of an account a year bracket. For a guy with 500 bucks he thinks he is a failure but he doesnt realize he is with the best of the best. How about the traders that keep a DD but manage it in the 2-8% category and just try to pocket 1/2 to 2% a day. Then use some winnings and knock out some deficit to keep it manageable. There are all sorts of ways to manage or express your success. So as you can see we can express ourselves in many different ways. Its expression comes from the style and method of trading. There are people who are now just learning stacking trades but they only can learn this method by knowing that some of us who do and the results. This is the first trading system that shows them specifically how it can be done. Probably some are trying it for the first time. Probably trading one penny to see what it is like. So big money maybe not but an expression of success. |

Thank you and thank all of you for your compliments. I probably dont say thank you enough for all the expressions but I also dont want to double the size of the thread. So I will usually take a single post now and then and say something. It is not that others are not worthy of response it is just I dont want to fill the thread with thank you notes. But please understand I appreciate every single one. I also am very thankful to all those who help big or small. A trader name Dover got me started with a change in the original indi at the very beginning that got this whole 240 buy/sell thing going. One simple contribution and i probably have never mentioned his name. Yet we would probably not be here with out his contribution in correcting the code so i could something unusual with it. I owe him a big thank you for that bit of programming. There is so much that goes into one of these things and the efforts of so many that without them I would not be a success in my trading over the years. The original writer of the TMA code thinks I am an idiot for wasting my time on that thing over the years but look where it has gotten us. He wont even read my manuals that show how to use his own indicator. I doubt he even knows that CSS and HGI even exist, yet without that original TMA code we wouldnt even be here. So let it be know I appreciate every single gesture and comment. Even Chris who bought me two Cokes today. It was great. To Astro77 who let me stay in his home and has treated me better than practically any human being on Earth. A big thank you. These are all just average everyday guys who put their hearts into something and then something magical happened. But let it be known I appreciate every single comment and contribution. So let the magic continue. For me to meet Steve the founder of all this, whoever thought we would ever get this far? |

Hi All, I have taken the liberty to modify the NewMarketInfo_Dark Overlay indicator. The Mods include Symbol display and Current profit/Loss display (when a trade is open). See pic above; Enjoy! |

That is why I wrote a 40 page booklet to answer that question? But it is an indicator you put in your indicator folder. I assume you are a really raw newbie so I will give you some instructions. 1. Open the file in the upper left hand section of Empty4 2. Open the Data folder 3. Put the templates in the templates folder 4. Open the MQL4 folder and put the in the indicator folder 5. Open the scripts folder and put the scripts in there. 6. Close up Empty4 and reopen 7. open chart and put the HGI light or dark on the screen, they are both the same. 8. Get a demo account going and practice. |
