Hi Zolie,

Right now I have a basket of just under 500 pips profit. It is another hour to London open. I will leave it until then and re-assess. In two hours we have important news out of the UK. I will close my basket before that. After the news I will start looking for trades again. We have alot of trades coming off peaky and weeky/monthly support/resistance areas, so alot of steam left and possible swing reversal areas. I am always cautious to open trades on a wednesday evening because from my past experiences retraces or reversals can occur on a thursday. I will usually wait for NY open on a thursday and enter. If I have a basket close on a friday I will open no more trades and leave it for monday.

I am always cautious to open trades just before the 20th of each month, because from my experience monthly reversals can occur from that day onwards. I will re-asses from the 20th onwards.

Hello Leon,

I am trying to understand the relationship between your Manual trading method and the TDesk method.

As I understand, your manual trading was quite simplistic in that you checked first the Stochs on the H4 timeframe and if they lined up then you waited for the HGI on the H1 to give the signal to get in.

Now, based on your TDesk setup posted on the Setup Exchanges thread, you are using:

- GannHiLo H4
- HGI M15
- HGI H1
- RSI D1
- RSI H4

You wait for them to line up for your Solo signal and then also wait for a minimum of 25 on the Multi to get in.

I am not sure if the above is a fair description but I am trying to understand if your manual trading translates exactly to the TDesk or if I am missing something.

A few questions:

- Are there any further checks you do after everything lines up on TDesk or do you just open the trade regardless?

- In your manual trading, you could actually see the stochs and the RSIs lining up, crossing, going above/beyond so you had a visual aid which is not available on TDesk or from the ribbon. Are you confident that if all 5 above line up its more than enough? Or do you think maybe a few visual checks would be necessary (like: OK the stochs, RSIs crossed but where are they exactly right now? Maybe nearing the end of their downward move?)?

Given that your manual trading was so successful from the start of the year, I am just wondering whether TDesk actually translates the method correctly or if something is missing. I understand that people are trying to make things as easy as possible for them to just click buy/sell but maybe there is a bit more legwork to be done or some more visualization that could go hand in hand with the automation of TDesk in order to maximize the success rate of your method.

If I was experienced enough I could probably answer this on my own but I guess you know your method better than anyone so you could easily tell if it translates or not.

You are misinterpreting my system here for the new project I posted in the TDesk setups exchange. It has nothing to do with my system here. I trade when I have an overall signal.

You are correct. I have no visual aid. However I do look at my peaky areas and weekly/monthly pivot sup/res areas on my chart before entering. I am trying to simulate what an ea would do and of course an ea will not see the same as me. Unless you have peaky on your chart linked to TDesk and you will have some sort of turning point to feed into your Ea. I do not have the holy grail but I can tell you this much. If my trade starts turning against me I hedge. My 5 indicators lining up is my edge and I react. No questions asked.

My manual trading has no relevance to what I am doing here. In fact I am up another 800 pips for the week on my live trading account and nothing has changed. TDesk is a project I am testing on demo at the moment and I am yet to see if trading many pairs and umpteen signals will be beneficial for me. I click on the buy and sell button because I am confident in my system. I do suggest however that you use visual aids to make your confidence grow in this system.

I use this as a mechanism to time my entries. I look at EurUsd at the moment for example has an Hgi uptrend signal on the hourly t/frame but showing a sell signal trend wavy on the 15 min t/frame. Only if they line up again will I consider entry again. Small retraces can translate to full swing reversals.

Leon,

Please let me know if the scenario below is correct according to your rules.

On USD/CHF we have the following;

- The stochs are trending down on H1 as well as H4
- I got a sell trend signal from HGI

The only drawback is that on H1 the Red RSI is starting to cross above blue and magenta lines which could mean possible slowdown. Also on M15 there is no HGI signal so maybe not a perfect entry but just trying to get the idea.

Am I on the right track?

Hi Pacer,

Technically speaking looks fine from my side. I also have a sell in the same area. :good: I would not worry too much about the Rsi going above your stochs at this point. It is if you have a cross of the blue and magenta line back up that I would look at closing. Your 2 rsi lines have crossed over towards the sell side so still a sell signal. Because the are so responsive you could look at closing your trade timeously if they cross back up.
