Hello jth, I´ve been following your experiment and have a suggestion that may help. Since the initial setup determines the trend direction at the London open, the quality of the setup will ¨wear¨as the hours go by. Leaving the trades open past the current session, the results should reflect the altered conditions at that moment, which may be very different from the initial ones. It may be that the trades should be closed by the end of the session. Of course, the longer the time the trades remain open, the higher the probability that the initial trend condition may have changed. Maybe a way to reflect the gradual degradation of the initial signal would be: - First 2 hours after opening trades: Leave basket TP as is. - 3rd hour, reduce basket TP by 1%. - Reduce TP 1% after each hour and close the trades by the US close if any remain open. If a gradual system like this works, I´m sure Steve´s genius would find a way to code it into the EA. |

You might want to ask Wolfie about those first. I did, and his reply essentially said, "Don't want to confuse people with those as I am trying lots of different settings." Not his exact words, but this was the sense. So, the ootb settings could easily be irrelevant. Over to you, Wolfie. |

Well let me start by saying that Fridays EA trades did not do well I had 8 Trades open. The basket TP of 10% was hit 3 Pairs hit their SL for a total of $-3425.10 before the Basket TP was hit 5 pairs reached the Basket TP of $1990.69 Total loss of $-1434.41 But it was NFP day and I wanted to see what would happen if I traded on this day. All in all not too bad though. alorente you are right something has to be done so I am now checking out which pairs performed really badly over the last 4-5 weeks and I will weed them out. I will reduce the pairs to 5 and I will set these up with a risk percentage of 1% The basket will have a percentage of 15% this is closer to what Paulus's R:R is. and then we shall see what will happen. I am sure it will take longer to get its profit. I am also going to setup the same pairs with the same risk percentage of 1%, but the basket will be 5% which is a 1:1 ratio. and see how this will trade. i am going to keep the same strategy of if the Trades hit there target before the NY open I will start a new setup. Regards JTH |

The divide by zero error quoted by a previous poster is caused by CalculateLotSize when price1 equals price2. This happens often as price retraces toward the swing high/ low. double CalculateLotSize(double price1, double price2) { //Calculate the lot size by risk. Code kindly supplied by jmw1970. Nice one jmw. if (price1 == 0 || price2 == 0) return(Lot);//Just in case double CalculateLotSize(double price1, double price2) { //Calculate the lot size by risk. Code kindly supplied by jmw1970. Nice one jmw. if (price1 == 0 || price2 == 0 || price1 == price2) return(Lot);//Just in case |

Hi all, A quick post to let you know my settings on Wolfie v1c must be wrong. I'm getting that repeat open/close like i had on v1b. Will check and post what i find when i get to that terminal. I suspect my slope settings might be too close and TF too low. Otherwise, a good day so far for Balls. regards cuz |

Good start for London market. (N>Y> just starting now) Two trades up 14%. Six percent risk. Both slope settings marked true. 15 min. htf. Stoch essentially disabled by allowing trades within the 20-80 range for buys and sells. Look at this perfect run on UC. Perfect entry; perfect exit. |

Hi, thank you for the clarification. I am still getting the zero divide error, on both "balls". Do you have experienced the same error, and if yes, how did you solve it? Thank you, John. |
