Hey Tomele, I really like what you did with the dashboard. One thing that I had to modify slightly was the TextYPos for all the pairs. I have limited real estate on VPS screens. Around line 1447: Would it be a good idea to make it user adjustable or no? Code: Select all Code: Select all - David |

Somehow I set trade buffer pips to exactly 0. That's what I get for doing this stuff tired. It's back to default at 5 pips on v2 set file. You probably wouldn't notice unless you were testing live anyway. |

One of the traders in my group, Mike, mentioned that there is a 60% chance of an inside bar followed by a lower close on m1. This means that the entry would be more reliable but naturally less of them. I bring this up because Oanda doesn't present many FBs on live. Where as a bucket shop like Tradersway has literally hundreds of them. I've incorporated these signals into variations of AO for testing to see if they aid in profit while reducing draw down on the m1 trader. It's too early for results but so far it is producing about 100% better profit with less draw down. I will keep you guys updated as testing moves forward. - David |

AO pays out well if you take the time to understand it, don't over leverage it and tweak it. I've not had time to check out and test other versions yet. I'm a firm believer in simplicity and the principle of "If it aint broke, don't fix it". Maybe they got it more profitable? Best way to find out is to do your own testing and perform your own due diligence. Then make a decision. |

DigitalCrypto i think that you are on right track to use candlestick patterns. You said earlier about some kind engulfing pattern. If you look here almost all are some kind of engulfing http://thepatternsite.com/CandleReverse.html Cheers. |

Hi Weyk, When a bar closes higher or lower than the previous bar it means that it has broken some kind of minor support or resistance on a lower time frame. This is the main reason for buying breakout tops and selling breakdown bottoms. Naturally we want to get best possible price so we look for pullbacks on lower time frames. And price will pull back 100% of the time.....eventually. It just depends which time frame you are trading. It could be months, weeks, days, minutes or even ticks. That being said, you will find that the most successful candle patterns will be where the bars on the right closed higher or lower than the ones on the left. In reality it only takes 3 bars or periods to determine what price is going to do next and you will always see the same price at least twice. Market makers aren't allowed to push the price too far from the pre-determined VWAP without messing things up and getting fined heavily. So they will push price to extremes then back and fill the positions based on time (read: Breakout and retest and market cycles). A pit trader taught me this. I over simplify here for brevity. I'm working on a rendition of AO that uses said bars for entries into the direction of the trend. Steve sent over some patches to my patches today. Damn fine work Steve huge thank you! I will put them on and test for another week. Hopefully it will produce similar results with less DD than AO. But it's already hard to beat this algo. Have a great weekend, David |

@Steve I am noticing a slight bug with regard to max positions and position direction. This happens when the EA is dropped fresh on a chart with already open trades in the terminal. It also happens when the EA is recompiled and/or reloaded from adjusting a setting. I see when Awesome Original is iterating through the pairs looking for signals I notice that there is a line of code that comes after that builds a composite picture of our baskets that comes after our signals. Code: Select all Here is my proposed change which adds the function at the top of the for loop Code: Select all You thoughts? EDIT: If the change is valid would also be a good time to patch the BE and JS? - David |
