H, To me news is always a issue. I believe they know ahead of time. How they show there hand is not always that clear. So as with anything stay out if in doubt. Now with that said stay out but do your own projections based on what the charts are saying. See if they are right or not and if not what went wrong if anything. incust |

Here's a link to a trading room that I'm monitoring this week. It's free. For those who have trouble "seeing" charts as I see them and dealing with the Fox, you might pick up on Scott's methods here. He lays it out in a more technical way than I do, but make no mistake. He "see's" what I see and vise a versa. He deals with risk:reward in a different way than I do, but much in the same way when you get down to it. He stresses laying into a winning position, putting on a larger initial trade and adding trades as it progresses. Forget all the lines and shit on the chart and his annoying manner at times and pay attention to what he is saying. Note his targets are almost always 50-55 pips! You will hear and see many of the concepts I bring forth here, but presented in a different way. He can trade naked as I trade naked because we can "see" the lines, patterns and shapes without having to use a visual aid. The room is open all week and the previous recorded sessions are there to watch. This will help you understand what the Fox or the "big boys" are doing in the market and how they do it. He talks about forecasting or projecting a move but also about following the trade....As I do, he preaches PATIENCE! Wait for the trade....when it presents itself, hammer it and take what is given....50 pips at a time. Nice trading, but the idea is to combine the "M" and "W"'s with all of the other stuff...You want the M or W at the Peak top or the Peak bottom....Not saying you can't just trade railroad tracks and M and W's but it needs to be done of a H4, D1 or W time frame as there is too much noise in the lower time frames. Know that an M or W on the lower time frame combines to form a railroad track on the higher time frame. As for not trading a day....all the pairs trade on different paths. If they all followed the same path on the same days, it would be too easy. Some take Monday off while others begin to move. It's up to you to scan the charts everyday and look for the trade setups. You will find them every day of the week. As for news events....they are changing up the pattern for these events. They used to have a well known and followed "stop hunt pattern". They seem to have changed from this pattern to one that last one or 2 candles now...either a head fake to start and then a run, or a straight run...you must adapt to the changes. These changes are why the mechanical systems always fail. They are all programed for a set of conditions and when those conditions are met, they produce. When patterns change, the conditions for success are no longer there and the mechanical system always fails. Each and everyone one of us has the most powerful neural net computer ever assembled. It sits on our shoulders and it's up to us to train it. CJ |

Thanks for the reply CJ, I really appreciate the time it took. I am reading through the enitre thread day by day as I go along, on page 67 at the moment... Whilst I have heard of the principles of the 3 level push and the 3 day cycle and looking for direction from 1H charts to aid in entries on the 15m, I have not been able to find a clear, concise and succinct explanation that I can understand as to how to do this... In light of the above, this is why I was looking at the M & the W on 15m only in order take trades. If I continue this way I will come across that trade that will ruin me. So, can I ask that one of the experienced traders lay the above out for me? Thanks in advance. H |

Hallo CJ, Thanks lots for posting up that chart showing how you would have stacked!, it's invaluable ( have been trying to understand how you do it). Practical exercise: Below is a trade I took last week on EURJPY H4 (still in). Are the marked lines places where you would have placed stack trades? Thanks for your time Cheers! . |

@CJ: Still on stacking: a) Are the stack trades a smaller position size than the original trade? b) How do you determine where to set the SL for the stack trades? Do you use the previous stacking point? c) Elsewhere, you said you stack heavily when it's obvious you are right. Any pointers on how to 'know' you are right? (I know it sounds like a silly question, but hopefully you see what I mean...) d) If I get you correctly, all your stack trades have a TP of 50pips, is that right? Cheers! |
