Firstly thank you for your contribution, I wanted to ask you a question seeing how you have the most amount of experience both coding and using the following indicators.

This is in regards to the FX Blue simulator and the HGI as well as Hurst idea I was simulating (HGI v17) and HGI (v16.9) both when using proper past data from TickStory

The issue is I managed to get almost all 10 trades for the HGI wrong.

The big arrows would not repaint however they generated in the worst possible locations, I understand and have read the manual, specifically the MA above and below filters, the Hurst component and other confluence areas that need to happen before taking a trade with the HGI and I was careful in seeing what the market was doing before entering.

Regardless, on all setups from various timeframes the HGI failed, surprisingly once I reloaded the charts and did visual backtesting on the same area, the arrows that caused the losing trades on the simulator disappeared and reappeared in more desirable locations.

Reading from all the posts I was told that HGI only repaints once the candle closes not after you reload of the charts, I am not sure if the FX Blue simulator is accurate in predicting the HGI in real time, if so I would really appreciate your feedback and experience as to the accuracy of FX Blue (OHLC logic) and HGI..

Hi Vlad,

You have to watch the Hgi arrow in real time for it to make sense. From the time the arrow is displayed, it will remain in place provided the candle closes above or below the area the signal was given. Yes, it is true that the arrow will disappear if the candle closes above or below the area (in other words the opposite area) of the signal. Yes, it is true that the arrow will show up if the trend moves back in the direction of the original signal.
You have to take it for what it is and it cannot be used as a stand-alone indicator. I use it in conjunction with Stochs and moving averages. I have attached a chart of live manual trades taken and have shown the blue vertical lines in the area where the signal was given in conjunction with stochastics. The benefit I get with HGI is that it alerts me to a possible signal and I take the trade only if my other conditions are met.
Do not use Hgi on timeframes lower than 4hr or alternatively use it if you get a 4hr signal and wait for arrows on the lower timeframes to be given before entering.

It is what it is and take it for what it is. It helps me and many others. Like it or lump it.

While reading through this thread I realised I must have missed the HGI Basics Zip folder. Is it still available as I cant see it on the first page. I have set up HGI and it's up and running. I was just curious about the MA lines I have seen on many charts. I have surmised they are 240/60 LWMAs from going through the whole thread here. Any help with that Zip folder if still available would be much appreciated.
