EA's inspired by nanningbob's work here, especially those based on his 240 Moving Average trend detection filter.

The cretin who once went by FmFx or some such is now renamed more appropriately.

WhataDimwit, you are clearly a cretin. You are too stupid even to read the Welcome message I sent you - where I pointed out that SHF is a meritocracy not a democracy, and that morons are not welcome here. Can you read?

You are clearly a moron and so I have changed your username to something more appropriate. Not that it matters, as you are no longer able to post here. You belong to that glorious group of fatheads unable to do anything else here other than read posts and download files. At least, I hope you can still download files. I have never been interested enough in dimwits to check.

Do try to find a way to contact me when you have grown into long trousers and ask for readmittance to the useful membership here. This is not hard to do, although I doubt you have the brains to find out how.

Hmmmm. Not sure the message will have gotten through your densely concrete packed skull, so I had better put this in a few brief sentences not containing too many multi-syllable words or sentences of more than seven (was five but turned out to be impossible) words.

You are dim.

You are too dim to last here.

Piss off.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

top results.. perhaps worth playing with the grid size to suit each pair too?

5400 clean pips just on GJ so far this week from two versions combined ..

magic 1000 with CSS D1
magic 2000 with CSS M5

Okay - Back to topic :yahoo:

Oh - your back to enabling CSS? Why you change your mind? But looks very impressive! Great Testing Work! Du you use the same Settings as in your Setfile before, but with css enabled?

Maybe i'll try this too... Actually i dont play with the grid Sizes - it was just a first test - proof of concept - if most of the pairs also working on a Cent Account... terrible spreads and just Market Orders and non ECN ;)
I go with your Idea to use different Spreads per Pair... but what would be useful? Use an ATR Divider on the last 20 Days as in the other ones?

The CSS tests started on demo this week for me. On Live I had the M5 set no CSS set I posted and then updated with M5 CSS enabled as the benefit became clear. Now I am feeling two charts one with M5 CSS and one with D1 CSS may be an interesting way forwards for trading one pair. The overall position could at any time either be partially hedged or doubled up depending on the CSS correlations.

Additionally I am now testing HGBnG separated into buy only and sell only EA's. Since the EA trades one direction from the first trade until the whole grid is cleared (when close on wavy or opposite ONLY IN PROFIT is true which I have found crucial to success) I can see an advantage in trading buy and sell sides separately.

.......If trading multi pair obviously there is a huge difference between a 10pip grid on GBPJPY and EURCHF so yes enabling ATR for grid size and testing to see what works best would make sense.

TJF,

Nice idea. I tried this last week by enabling it in the expert panel (long position only) but I only got system error. Since I am not a coder, I cannot proceed further. You might want to share your code.

With some discipline, one can get a consistent result with the combo you shared. I tried to watch my dd and as long as I dd does not go above 5% or my margin level below 350%, I am fine. There were times that my margin level went down to the 250 and was able to recover with some intervention.

Here is my guide for my daily target profit: 0.65(.01*Capital), hopefully doubling my capital within 6 months.

I haven't modified any code. I have just setup demo ready for this week with one chart long only and one chart short only. I don't see any reason why there would be any system error doing this with the set file I posted. I will report back next week to confirm if this works for me.

I settled on M5 Trend Arrow only with 10pip stop and limit grid because it is profitable in it's own right and reacts fast enough to a move to do what I need it to reducing overall drawdown on the account.

I actually got the idea from watching the developments on DottyBot thread where M5 with offsetting looks to be very successful so I thought why not try this on M5 HGBnG. In theory HGI trend arrow should be a better indicator than nonlagDot but who knows until we test.

So far on GJ demo this week HGBnG is ahead of DottyBot but will be interesting to see again after a week. I am also testing versions of both with CSS enabled.
Hi,

Just wanted to share my demo results of Your set. It's only a bit behind DottyBot, it's so far my favourite set for HGBnG. This is absolutely hands free test. I'm looking forward to see how it performs this week. :)

Traded on Majors + GBPJPY, on M5, starting amount is 1475 EUR.

I've noticed that the M5 set sometimes makes great equity highs, but then the market can reverse. I think trade/profit management is key with these settings. I am experimenting with two accounts otherwise identical. One of them has MTPM with trade management to perform a basket jumping stop a la patmontes with his implementation of TJF's 120 semafor set. The other I intend to monitor occasionally throughout the day and just close all when its going at a decent clip.

its looking good though either way

I find trading on just one pair makes things a lot easier to manage and in the past week GBPJPY has not had one set of trades that it couldn't close through offsetting same day. With the Stop and Limit grid of 5 x 10pips + 5 x 10pips we have a 100pip range covered and usually a valid breakout includes a retrace and test so when this is against the original signal the limit orders enable offsetting to close all before things get messy... so far anyway

Grid size will need to be very pair specific if trading other pairs.

Splitting into buy only and sell only EA's further protects against a strong move as there will be an opposite grid to hedge and/or manually offset if price does move fast. I have just added Rene's Gridmaster to the mix (with HBGnG offfsetting turned off) to see if I can offset automatically between the two charts. If this works it will be awesome.. trading like RnR but much safer.

I have tried reinstalling Empty4 and the EA but the problem remains. Now that I have activated CSS on my Live set file I can see that is working Live.. strangely just not on demo. Anyone else here observed this and/or found the solution?
TJF,

Which version you are using? I am using version 2d with command button on it.
