Open API

If anyone has any REAL info on Open API - post it here

I don't mean any of the woolly pre-announcements of vapor ware that tells nothing about the capabilities - i mean real stuff like:

• Does it allow direct connects to the server without cTrader - does it use open or proprietary protocols requiring specific languages
• Is the feed you see the one you trade against
• Do all trades on Open API appear in cTrader/cAlgo as if they were native
• Do we all share the same server instances or are they specific per broker - what sort of bottlenecks will we be looking at
• Claimed trade execution in 3-4ms is moot if the LP can hold (last look) the trade for the next 1000ms or so - are there an sensible limits to last looking or is it gonna be entirely broker/LP specific

Sorry about the cross post but it is more relevant here, so :

Finally got something concrete from Spotware about Open API

The current version support a web api (JSON) to query account, trading history, pending orders and current positions etc

Does not yet look like we have a feed or the ability to create positions but updates are promised soon - so it looks hopeful

At least we now know the structure of the API - A cTrader client is NOT NEEDED, offering the possibility of small and/or headless clients - ideal for cross trading platform algo trading engines, alternate platform clients etc
