Invictus v Fratelli

I have followed Invictus from the start and manually traded with initially good results. I decided to code an EA for this and tested it this week. Results were not good and overall it emptied account! I restarted it yesterday with Hanover enabled and today it made 1 trade for a 20pip 5% profit. Looking to test it out next week.

I started reading Dean's thread yesterday about his comparison of both systems and Fratelli seems pretty good. Has anyone tried this system and if so do they think it is worth coding an EA for?

If the Invictus EA proves more successful next week i'll release it as i think i have all the logic correct.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

yes i started testing Fratelli yesterday. Had 3 winners out of 3 trades. Followed the exact rules made by Peter.

I think a Fratelli EA that has got the Hanover module would be a great new toy to play around with

Considering the winning rate deankenny21 has reported on FF, it doesn't need anything else
Seems that Fratelli strategy beats up the markets in over 80% of the cases.

I'm working at rebuilding an EA for this, will post the result as soon as I can cover all the necessary rules and see it working correctly.

P.S. As a second thought, I think this should have been a new topic...Steve, if you agree, gonna open a new one tommorow, in the EA's section.Too tired(and lazy) now.

Nice one! I have written one as well and i am just testing it today. I have put all indicators inside, the MACD colored can be replicated using a standard MACD, the colours just check current and previous values and if going up green and red if going down!

I used the Jiva BBstop EA as i have noticed some of the MPTM features are not working correctly in the the shell EA.

Fratelli results so far today look good, Dean is up 42.8 pips already!

A thread makes sense, i'll have a look through code and i am sure between us we will have something good to play with

Well, I had no more patience last night to extensive test the EA, but Trade Management seems to work ok on this one.Will see that today...and maybe some tweaks too.

Have you used the SuperTrendCandles or just normal candles? From the coed looks like you have used normal but i could be wrong. My EA doesn't have to correct trigger at the moment it missed the trades from earlier!

My Invictus EA with Hanover which is set very conservatively has made 3 trades since 17th and all are winners up 45pips so looking pretty good. Still not sure i have ironed out all bugs hanover looks like giving it an edge over the subjective rules that dean keeps discussing in his thread.

Not got much time today as meeting to attend, i'll try and fix the triggers later and then i'll post it for review and mods.

No, I haven't use Super Candles at all. Maybe I will implement them today, just for the closing rules, as per opening rules, the candles seems to be always in the right colour when a signal is generated.Will check again today.

As for the triggers, mine are working correctly, as per rules, you can copy/paste them, if you want. Still I'm not really sure about MACD, as Fratelli stated "we need at least a definite upbar in MACd for long"(or something like that).
So, I use for triggers an up/down bar(bar 1 or 0) AND the condition that bar 1 > bar 2(or opposite for sell).
Gonna implement today the Super Trend Candles too and report here the final result, hahaha.

Good job you done there with Invictus Hannovered, then!Maybe you succeed in making that a winner, as the manual strategy seems pretty weak in results...

EDITED: I can confirm now, Macd doesn't have to be < or > than previous value , just to be up or down.
