European Open / US Open EA or Backtest

Hi folks,

I have a very simple scalping strategy that seems to have a high win rate but I want to 'backtest' the best H1/m30 candle to use for the strategy. Would this be possible as an EA that could be strategy tested in Empty4?

The current strategy is as such:

H1 chart

EurUsd only

Mark Candle high/low 1hr prior to the UK cash equity open (so the 0600-0700 candle).

Place One Cancels Other (OCO) buy/sell orders at next .00 level above/below your marked candle. Stop 15 pips, TP 10 pips.

If first trade fails, place similar OCO order at same levels. Double initial stake.

If this one fails- no more trades today. Come back tomorrow and start again with one lot (so not martingale).

US open

Same again but using M30 TF as US opens 1330GMT (until 28 Mar when back to 1430GMT).

Wait for M30 candle 1.5hrs after US Equity open. (Currently 1430-1500GMT candle)

Same OCO orders and process as above.

Could an EA let me change the H1 or M30 candle time so that the best candle can to be used (in terms of win rate) could be identified?

Would it further be able to identify which days were most profitable (ie does the strategy not work on the Mon open?)

Box shows the 0600-0700 GMT candle

Trade OCOs would have been:

Buy - 10750. Stop 10735. TP 10760
Sell- 10720. Stop 10735. TP 10710

In this case the short was activated and closed within 2 candles.

Backtest it as much as you want. Just don't bother is with it.
