Suspicious price action on Blueberry Live Account

Hi Guys,

I noticed this price (Kiwi) action on my (New) Blueberry Live account at the close of trading this morning (Australia)...I opened a new live account a week ago however running a couple of demo's for nearly a year....I have also show, a screen capture of the demo account at the same time and no large candle...Further below you will see a copy of my "please explain" to my broker...! very worried..!

Obviously I will update post with response from broker, but as I have a number of long kiwi positions, I'm worried, and will be watching them very closely.....All the years I have been trading retail FX, the biggest problem I have had is the broker, It is difficult to protect myself from their behaviour...

That looks like the broker extending the spread a LOT just before closing. How about taking Steves advice and trading with Global Prime? My live account does not look like that.

I actually do have a GP live and a number of demo accounts and many other brokers, hence I was able to speak confidently about my observation being particular to this brokers....I have/had many brokers over the years as I like to spread my risk, as having one broker is a risk in itself....I also like to test new brokers, GP seem to be a good broker at this point, but that does not mean there are not others, Blueberry, from what I can tell is an Australian broker and I have not hear or read anything negative when I first started to demo them 12 months back, this is the first.. When they (brokers) do suspicious thing, like I posted above and don't provide a valid reason, then they become part of the HAD list of brokers...

This post is more educational for the people here, just like many other post showing broker behaviour. The other reason I posted was on the off chance other people had a similar experience on this pair with other brokers, so the the issue may have been introduced by a liquidity provider and not the broker itself...

The only other thing missing from this post is the broker response, which at this point is mixed....First (to his credit) he has responded to me on the weekend, the sad thing is, he is suggesting that the demo account has the same pricing.... This suggest he didn't even look ;-(

Hi Wiggy,

If this happened in the last few minutes of Friday session then it could be from LPs switching offline for the weekend. I don't think this is a case of the broker doing anything dodgy but you may wish to suggest for them to switch off pricing a few minutes before the end of session to protect from potential spikes that can happen as the LPs switch off.
