FORCED to update live Empty4 terminals

Recently I have received emails from all my live account brokers, warning that Empty4 client terminals older than build 416 are no longer being supported.

Oanda gave the most information:

"Starting on June 1, client Empty4 terminals below build 416 will not be able to connect to trade servers, and will result in trading being disabled. The company that makes Empty4 is requiring all users to upgrade to a more recent version of their client terminal software. Traders using an older terminal build are advised to download the latest version of Empty4 and reinstall the terminal."

I have always blocked the upgrade option in Empty4 by renaming LiveUpdate.exe to LiveUpdate.exe.old, so I trade with the version I want , not one decided by my criminal - until now ....

Oddly I have not (yet) received similar notices from brokers I am using for demo, so not sure what these criminals are up to now. I suspect this change is NOT for my benefit.

I am just wondering how long before I get an email - "Empty4 is no longer supported, get MT5"

Hi Macman,
I've had to go up to version 432 on all accounts.....Live and demo.....Some of this may be USA related for me....

Keep us updated, please.....Anything you can find out

Empty4 4 Build 438 is Here

MetaQuotes Software Corp. has announced the launch of Build 438 for their Empty4 4 trading platform. The new build fixes some issues with the previous build’s Client Terminal, and enhances the capabilities of the Empty4 Administrator platform and the Empty4 Manager platform.

HINT: anyone that find their Empty4 is not updating, switch to the Default profile, restart Empty4 and do the update, restart & switch back to your trading profile.... works for me anyway
