Renko simple system...

Here's a renko chart from April this year, built from duskacopy tick data.



Entry is on 2 up bars or two down bars:
Inital SL is 2x block length
Take 50% of position profit at 1x Block and move stop to BE
Exit remainder of position on bar color change

Does that logic make sense? I know the R/R is backwards, but letting the winners ride and capturing small profits soon should make up for it (some backtesting with a simple EA would be great!)

Any questions please ask, if somebody can put together an EA that fits the bill that would be amazing!

I have spent a ton of time attempting to automate Renko.....

and u have some great backtest results and some tremendous walk forward results using ten years data.

The problems arise when the new bars are formed in the online chart...... they do not conform to the specs as do the history bars, ie a bar that should be 5 pips can be 8 or 10. thus causing ea to have indigestion.

I have attempted to use bars of different size.... same problems exist.

That being said....... the people in this forum use strategies that are new to me, perhaps once I learn a little more I can have another shot at the Renko and make a bit of progress.
