Hi all,

since I don't want to overload Baludas Thread with topics that go away from his indicators and I plan to develop and extend some NB related indicators I thought it would be time for my own Thread.

Here is my first Indicator
I hope you find it useful and find some new informations that allow you to trade better.

NT TMA-CSS-SP
Current Version: v.1.0.3 released on 01.07.2012 New Version

Description:
TMA based Currency Slope Strength for Single Pair Charts (TMA-CSS-SP)
based on CurrencySlopeStrength.mq4 and CSSDiff from Baluga

This Indicator shows only the CSS for the two currencies on the active chart.
The CSS Value is calculated as the original from baluda.
It is only reduced to pairs that are relevant to the current chart.

Credits go to:

Simeon Semenych - original ccfp indicator
ZZNBRM - TMA & TMA True calculations


Changes to original CSS
  • fontsize selectable
  • calculate and show only the Slope and Values for the current Pair
  • timeframe selectable
  • added Diff Line that shows the difference between the two CSS as Value, as a third slope or as a histogram
  • The histogram Level can be changed
  • all slopes can be enabled/disabled
  • added Alerts for Level Crosses
  • TMAtrue Mode that prevents any so-called 'repainting'
  • optimized overall execution speed (about half the time)
  • unique window id so you can put up to 10 Indicators on 1 chart

  • New Feature: Slope for Ratio between weakest/strongest Currency.

external Parameters:
  • general Settings
  • autoSymbols - set to true to let SlopeStrength use all symbols available in the Market
  • Watch window. Overrules 'symbolsToWeigh'
  • symbolsToWeigh - comma delimited list of symbols to use.
  • maxBars - limits the history to this number of candles, set to 0 to disable
  • font - font to use
  • fontSize - fontsize to use
  • tmaTrueMode - usees the TMAtrue calculation, prevents any so-called 'repainting'

    Line/Histo Settings
  • showBaseSlope - enable/disable the view of the CurrencyBase slope (1st Currency of the Pair)
  • showCrossSlope - enable/disable the view of the CurrencyCross slope (2nd Currency of the Pair)
  • showDiffSlope - enable/disable the view of the Diff slope
  • showRatioSlope - enable/disable the view of the Ratio slope
  • showHisto - enable/disable Histogramm Mode;
  • histoLevel - set Histogramm Level where the color changes

    Timeframe
  • autoTimeFrame - set to true to use the timeframe of the chart, this overrules 'timeFrame'
  • timeFrame - set to one of the values indicated (M1,M5,M15,M30,H1,H4,D1,W1,MN1)

    Colors
  • colorCurrencyBase - color for the Base Currency slope and Value
  • colorCurrencyCross - color for the Cross Currency slope and Value
  • colorDiff - color for the Diff slope and Value
  • colorRatio - color for the Ratio slope and Value
  • lineColorRange - color for the ranging area of the Histogram
  • lineColorOverLevel - color for over defined level of the Histogram
  • lineColorUnderLevel - color for below defined level of the Histogram

    Alerts
  • useAlerts - enable/disable alerts
  • emailAlert - enable/disable email alerts
  • popupAlert - enable/disable popup alerts
  • soundAlert - enable/disable sound alerts
  • soundFileName - set your prefered alertsound (only for sound Alerts)
  • diffCrossAlerts - enable/disable crossing alerts ( I had more alert Modes before )
  • diffAlertLevel1-5 - enable/disable alert levels (99 vor disable)
I release this as ex4 only for now.
If you want to use some setups more often save them as templates.

  • calculate and show up to 8 TMA Timeframes for the current Chart or any other Pair
  • symbol free selectable (view any symbols TMA on your current Chart)
  • font selectable
  • fontsize selectable
  • all timeframes selectable
  • limit the number of bars to process (better performance)
  • TMA TFs can be shown as slope/value or histogram/value combination
  • freely overlay all TFs as Histogram (change order in timeFrames to change overlay order)
  • TMA mode selectable betwen original Mode and true Mode that prevents any so-called 'repainting'
  • tmaPeriod can be changed

Description:
Indicator for Testing Rules and Rulesets based on TMA and Pivots

This Indicator is meant to be used as Research/Analysis Platform to define/test Rules and Rulesets (multiple Rules) based on the TMA and Pivots.
You are able to combine different Rules into one Ruleset that will trigger buy or sell signals.
You can also use it to analyze Exit signals (opposite direction of entry signal)

This is only a subset of my main Rule/Ruleset Tester that I use to test different Strategies and Rules.
I put this together to enable our community members to do a faster research/analysis for their TMA/Pivot based strategies.

  • 3 Different TMA Rules to Test Entry/Exit based on Level, Angle and/or TMA-MA Cross

    Rule 1 & 2 - TMA TF & Level
  • TmaSlopeTf - select TF for TMA
  • TmaSlopeBuyLevel - change Level for Buysignal
  • TmaSlopeSellLevel - change Level for Sellsignal

    Rule 3 - TMA 3 TF & Angle
  • TmaSlope3Tf- select TF for TMA
  • TmaBarsForAngle - change how many Number of Bars back (from the current Bar) the Angle calculation should go
  • TmaPointsForAngle - change how many Points the difference between the bars should be to trigger a buy/sell signal

    Rule 4-6 - TMA above/below MA (applied to TMA)
  • TmaMA - period for the MA
  • TmaMAMode1 - Mode for the MA (0=SMA, 1=EMA, 2=SMMA, 3=LWMA)
  • TmaMaTF1 - select TF for TMA
    Attention : If the TMA TF is other then current Chart TF the calculation can take some time. Be patient ;)


    Rule 7 - Pivot Order
  • addSundayToMonday - true = for those people who have Sunday candle
  • UseDayWeekMonth - true = Daily, Weekly and Monthly Pivots must be in order to trigger buy/sell signal
  • UseDayWeek - true = Daily and Weekly Pivots must be in order to trigger buy/sell signal
  • UseDayMonth - true = Daily and Monthly Pivots must be in order to trigger buy/sell signal
  • UseWeekMonth - true = Weekly and Monthly Pivots must be in order to trigger buy/sell signal
  • UsePriceToPivot - true = Price must be in relation (above/below Pivot) to trigger buy/sell signal
  • UseOpenPrice - true = Candle Open Price is used for Price
  • UseClosePrice - true = Candle Close Price is used for Price

Hey NeoTrader - thanks for sharing this - very useful. With your latest update the ratio shows as zero for all pairs and all time frames? I don't think it can be a setting at my end but....??

Hmmmm... since forexripper downloaded it also and confirmed that the ratio values are ok...it seems to work....( and i have it also running on multiple charts ) have you tried to delete the indicator and drag it again on the chart? Or if this also doesn't help then try to restart your MT please.
What version of Empty4 to you have?

Hmmmm... since forexripper downloaded it also and confirmed that the ratio values are ok...it seems to work....( and i have it also running on multiple charts ) have you tried to delete the indicator and drag it again on the chart? Or if this also doesn't help then try to restart your MT please.
What version of Empty4 to you have?

Build 432. It is the same for me on different brokers too (same build)...weird.

Settings I am using are:
autoSymbols - true
maxBars - 150
tmaTrueMode - true
showHisto - true
histolevel - 0.4
useAlerts - false

Everything else default. I have restarted, added/removed/added.
