Super Newbie questions

Hi All,

I'm an extremely green newbie and have just started to explore the automated trading system. As such, I was wondering if someone can help me with some questions, or direct me to the right threads for them:

- What does EA stand for??? Actually, is there a glossary for all the acronyms you guys throw around??
- how do you load the FR (that stands for Forex Robot right?) into Empty4?
- how do you compile or recompile in Empty4?
- is there a checklist of things I need to tweak with Empty4 before I start testing the profiles?

Ok, thats the first time i ask a question because english is not my idiom ... its simple, i have developed an EA in 30' tf and im backtesting it ... how much operations have to do the ea to know that it isn´t doing a curve fitting. I´m taking only the sets with 2 or more operations a month from the first month ... 2 * #months is this correct o i have to level up this the number of operations per month?.

this seems like a good place to ask... i'm having trouble sequencing all the nb threads, is 10.4 the ea we should be using? or is there an EA for 10.0 and where to find the download to use? Also is there a specialized MPTM and a data set to use with 10.4? where should I look for mptm download?

Hi,

I'm trading on Empty4,and in my Demo Account I added my EA,
when I went over into my live account my charts are the same with my EA showing
and the EA boxes were opening up whilst in my live account.

I have changed the EA to manual - hence the boxes opening up,
My question is,

Because it was opening up whilst I was in my live account - does this mean I had the
EA on my live account also??

Yep. An EA cannot work unless you have it on your charts. If it was doing its thingy, then you had it on your charts.
