not my setfile, but gertje's m30 2% file is a veritable beast! have run on a demo for a week with a 30% increase in equity and balance. drawdowns moderately large sometimes but manageable and always recover so far. just my $0.02

Tell you what guys, I would not like to be a noob approaching this monster for the first time - and my response to some of the questions they want to ask helps me but probably does bugger-all for them.

I spend far less time testing than I do coding. There are guys here who have tested this beast far more than I have. Can one of you come up with a time frame and set file that I can put into post 1 and say to the noobs, "Try this to get started guys"?

Beware, I stopped the M30 and went to H1 due to much DD, [even for my taste... ]
I'll post the H1 file that already closed 2 baskets today.

EDIT: setfile attached. It's set for 0.01 lots [$1.000 balance] with $20,- basket-TP. When changing lotsizes, also change basket-TP.

Thank you for your set file.

I am just curious about your settings:

1- Open only Trend trades, ok
2- Do not close on opposite signal (only CloseCtTradesOnOppositeSignal on true which mean no closure for trend trades)
3- Max trades per pair up to 10
4- SL & TP to 1000 pips

In case of market reversal, the pain can be really huge! Your previous setfiles were more conservative no?

Just for the ones who are interested in not using SBB as a basket trader, i am currently generating a database which calculates optimal TP and SL settings for each pair.
Therefore i am running a demo with all pairs and OOTB settings (currently running on Secret Bob 1d, but switching to SBB next weekend) to collect all trades, and created an excel sheet which will be fed with data from myfxbook to optimize the settings.

The output after one week is in the picture. As you can see, there is a huge potential, which is currently not used. But there must be several months of trading history until the TP and SL settings become useful.

I am planning to collect data at least until end of Jan15, then the settings should be useful.
If anybody is interested, i could post a weekly update of this summary.

Hi Steve,
I have currently experienced wrong reading of Bob H4 trend in version 1m.
When I compared the code with 1g, which shows correct values with the same settings, I found there is a missing line of code in function void ReadAllMaValues() where in 1g you call GetBasics(TradePair[cc]) before calculating the MA and the trend. If you put it back the MA readings are correct again.

I got 4 trades today and all right direction, on Screen and TradeEntries.

Yes, I do. This problem occurs only if you have activated Moving Average settings, that means having Ma_TF and MaPeriod not set to 0.
