HGI for beginners.

I tested it here and it worked like a charme, no idea what happened in your configuration, try to log in the EA log if you see there something strange...

I joined this wonderful group back in 2012. At that time, the nanningbob 10.x versions were being released and tested. I downloaded the indicators, templates, and studied the manuals until I was quite familiar with everything. Then, for reasons I won't bore you with right now, I moved away from spot forex trading.

I desire to return and have read about the tremendous success some are having with the new HGI. I have downloaded v. 16.07 and the templates, but I'm trying to figure out where to start. I am willing to read and have been doing so on this forum and the regular HGI one. What I would most like to know, though, is how to find the user's guide or manual. I see it referred to in numerous posts, but, try as I might, I haven't been able to find it.

This may be one of those cases where it is right in front of me, and "if it was a snake, it would have bitten me." If so, forgive me for being so blind. Any help, though, would surely be appreciated!

I think it's at the bottom of post 1 in the HGI thread (it's the pdf file).

Thank you very much, Tim. I had been back to that page again and again, unable to find it. I think what threw me off was the fact that the file was labeled something like "Dec 2014 v. 14.01."

Following your post, I went back ONE MORE TIME and downloaded the file. Sure enough, it's the manual I've been looking for. Yep, if it was a snake, it would have bitten me.

Hello, I have been trying to find what the Wavy (trend) is based on? Did not find anything explaining what it uses to generate the wavy (how it is calculated). (or maybe it is explained in some thread and I have not found it).

I read that it is the TMA slope. But further explanation would be helpful to know how the Range and Trend are calculated and the difference.

every time you re-start your Empty4 platform the HGI will re-initialize and calculate the signal in past in an optimized way, but there will be no change how it will calculate all new signal, so the real-time trading will not be touched, only the way to valutate past signals..
