I would appreciate it if those of you who know what is going on here could stop by and help out occasionally. I am going nowhere near it, as most of the questions asked in such threads in the past have aroused my killer instinct.

CP is a monster now. Does somebody care to calculate the number of different possible combinations of 9 time frames and 4 directional indicators? It would be fun to know. Many would clearly be nonsense, but I bet there are still a hell of a lot of potential combos. All we can do is play with them to try to find one that suits us as individuals. Well, us and our Resident Genius TJF producing magnificent set files. No pressure, TJF.

Thomas has solved the problem of the invalid stop errors and they should not recur again. He has also re-written the jumping stop function so that it is no longer reliant on the Break Even function. Coders, you might want to consider adopting his code. Many thanks Thomas. We are deeply grateful.

The masquerader that passes for my brain has turned to mush, so I am going to lie down in a darkened room and hit myself with a good single malt - cheaper than drinking it. I shall spend a couple of hours gibbering dementedly.

Have fun next week folks. No doubt there will be a few bugs, but they should not be difficult to squish.

There are plans in the future to make Candle Power multi-timeframe ea like Awesome, PoS? Or maybe an upgrade to Awesome to use Candle Power as a trade trigger. I just feel the need for symbol basket and recovery functionality in CP...

The same idea had occurred to me. I have already started to adapt Thomas' dashboard so that it becomes an auto-trader.

This is going to take a while though. It is not as easy as you might imagine to convert a dashboard into a trader, or a single pair trader like CP to a multi-pair trader.

Plus, it is school musical time and I am helping out, so lots of rehearsals and performances for the next two weeks. Coding time will be short. It is in hand, though.

Think of me sympathetically over this week and next. I am not a fan of music theatre - a lack of fanness that stretches to classical and romantic opera, great though the music of Mozart et al is. I regard The Sound of Music as a crime against humanity. The musical the kids are doing this time is Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

I consider this benighted abhorrence to be only one step above The Crime Against Humanity. Trouble is, the thingy I most enjoy in life is watching kids enjoying themselves. Aim a kid at me, tell it to ask for my help, and the word, "No" disappears from my vocabulary. So, when the school asked me to help with the musical, my brain was screaming at me, "NOOOOOOOOOOO. Don't do it. Say NO. Just say NO."

The gob said, "Yes, of course I will. I would love to."

G'day All,

Well I've been away for a while, but reading through this thread, decided I had to give CP a whirl!

I am a little late to the party, but have missed a bit of ironing, which is always a good thing...
But having said that, this is of course normal with any new toy

Hats off once again to you Steve, and all involved with this great piece of coding, it looks like everyone has been having a lot of fun with this toy... congrats to you. :hi:

I have 2 fresh platforms dedicated to CP.

The first I am running on the 5min chart @ 0.01 lots, and the second am trying it out on the 1 hour chart @ 0.02 lots.

Will keep you posted of my results...

Made 1000 pips this week using Candle Power...... but got them all in one day(Thursday)
