Because I have a day job, I usually come home and open Empty4 a bit after the US session has started. So I usually take my trades within the US session and then let them develop during the night and the following days if all goes well.

My entries are based on Leon's system with the exception that if lets say I open Empty4 and the rules are met and there is already an HGI signal that has been produced a few hours back I will still take the trade if it looks like a good setup. Otherwise I will wait for a new HGI signal to give me the go. So in other words if I see that the stochs line up according to Leon's rules and HGI has already given a signal 2-3 hours back on the same direction I will open a trade and won't wait for a new HGI signal. Of course if things don't look good (i.e. we are near a support/resistance level, or a pattern is forming that I don't like) I will wait to see how things develop.

Right now I just open one trade per pair to be able to manage them effectively and learn the system as good as I can. Also as I explained I have had losing trades but I would say that they were more my own fault by not following the rules rather than the system not working.

Leon,

On a more serious note, I had stepped away from trading for some time due to personal reasons (mixed with some disappointing trading results) and after I remembered that this beautiful forum exists, I was fortunate enough to find your system. So...

If there are already multiple HGI signals on a pair, would you still consider taking it? Not sure whether HGI signals have more strength for first two and lesser at subsequent ones.

To be completely honest with you, as this is DEMO trading, I am just throwing stuff to see what will stick but I try to follow Leon's rules as close as I can. The trades that I am posting follow Leon's rules with the exception which I already mentioned (i.e. sometimes I consider a valid HGI signal that has been given a few candles back if the set up makes sense to me). I don't overthink it in terms of how strong it is or how many signals HGI has given before that.

Up until now, it is working like charm. But I will not deviate any further than that from the rules. What I do is this:

- Check H1 stochs according to Leon's guidelines
- Then check H4 stochs as confirmation again according to Leon's guidelines
- Then check what signals HGI has already given
- Then check support/resistance levels as well as round numbers
- Then check if there are any obvious patterns

Now if the stochs are giving me the go and lets say HGI has produced a signal 1-2 hours ago that also points to the same direction I will take the trade if it makes sense to me. The reason for that is that I have very limited screen time and I assume that if I was in front of the screen 2 hours ago when these two events initially happened I would have taken the trade. If the signal is very old though like more hours back I will probably disregard it.

My point is that right now I am learning the system and experimenting with it. Don't overthink it that much. Just try to follow Leon's rules as close as you can. I would advise you to wait for a new HGI signal like Leon describes. Remember that he has traded this system long enough and he is very profitable with it so follow his lead.

My entries, by the way, are far from perfect so its better not to imitate my style.

This is Albert, I am kind of new here so I have read many post and finally installed TDesk and Desky successfully ( many thanks to all of you

).
Now I am trying the 3 recommended templates however I am having some issues with yours:

I am trying to test your settings from Post 1 and while the chart looks ok, the logs are showing 2 errors. Are these errors something to worry about? Image attached.

Errors:

2018.11.29 06:29:16.058 cannot open file 'C:\Users\FOI\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\294B6FCE6F709DE82DA4C87FDBF1DE36\MQL4\indicators\pipsometer_decimal_edit_2.ex4' [2]

2018.11.29 06:29:16.057 cannot open file 'C:\Users\FOI\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\294B6FCE6F709DE82DA4C87FDBF1DE36\MQL4\indicators\HGI_v16.09.ex4' [2]

Not sure why it is trying to open HGI 16.09( I have 17 installed )... and not sure where to download the pipsometer as I cannot find it in the TDesk indicators post and other posts..

Any advice?

Leo,
You have installed the indicators in the wrong folder.
Go to your Empty4 menu, click on File, then Open Data Folder
An explorer window will pop up, find the MQL4 folder and open it.
You will see the Indicators, Experts etc... folders This is where you need to put your files.
Then close and reopen your Empty4 and you will find them in the Navigator window.

Sorry, I will answer myself. I think I mixed up the TDesk tpls... I have deleted all of them from my Empty4 and imported only yours( from the exchange TDesk post ) and now it seems to work.
Now I am waiting for signals to try it out.

Thanks for your effort guys and hopefully I can contribute in the future when I have all my head around and I can do my own settings.

Thanks Yanis. Actually I had some of the indicator in both folders Expert and Indi. I think the problem was the templates. I believe that the old versions were kind of caching even though I had restarted Empty4 several times...
Anyway, I deleted all the templates and added the one I wanted to test and now it all seems to work. Let's see how it goes.

A little update. I haven't been trading that much lately because of work but I have been trying different angles (like trading wavies or trading older signals as well as other stuff). I can't say that it has worked that good so far. Again I am not trading that much so it could be that I am not that much in front of the screen. But I caught myself deviating from the trading rules a lot so back to the basics.

So from Monday, I will revert back to trading EXACTLY what Leon taught us with no changes. This means waiting for a new Buy/Sell signal. I am also contemplating setting up a server to be able to get the signals while I am at work and therefore trade closer to how I would trade if I was at home.

I will report back with my results before the holidays.
