I did kind of answer this moron's question when I told him/her/it where to find the answer. Not my fault that him/her/it was too lazy and stupid to follow my advice. I have pointed out occasionally that lazy and stupid people are not welcome at SHF. Those of us who have been around for a while have gained a lot of experience trading this stuff. We do not care what lazy morons think.

This moron is now banned from SHF. He/She/It clearly failed to read the warning in my Welcome message.

Hey ho. It happens. The Moron can go off and find a forum where he/she/it is allowed go and play.

Yes, I know this is a thread where confused beginners can ask for help. Just don't be moronic, ok? Or kick up a fuss when it is pointed out that you are being a moron. Pick a fight with the forum owner? Guess who wins.

Hey Steve,

I am a fellow musician like yourself so before you think of terminating my account I do have a question to ask

For the last couple of days I have been testing HGI on "FX Blue" which is a real simulator presenting real result apparently, they have real tick data etc...

I have to say the the symbols of HGI once reloaded look a lot different from once they are reloaded....

I know that you started this forum to help retail traders navigate from all the scams that are very real but I do want to know if you allow real discussions in this forum or is this all a scam

Serious question about the simulator and its results

Waiting your reply

Vlad....

Are you suggesting that the forum might be a scam?

:xm: :rocket:
No I am not suggesting this at all!

Firstly thank you for your contribution, I wanted to ask you a question seeing how you have the most amount of experience both coding and using the following indicators.

This is in regards to the FX Blue simulator and the HGI as well as Hurst idea I was simulating (HGI v17) and HGI (v16.9) both when using proper past data from TickStory

The issue is I managed to get almost all 10 trades for the HGI wrong.

The big arrows would not repaint however they generated in the worst possible locations, I understand and have read the manual, specifically the MA above and below filters, the Hurst component and other confluence areas that need to happen before taking a trade with the HGI and I was careful in seeing what the market was doing before entering.

Regardless, on all setups from various timeframes the HGI failed, surprisingly once I reloaded the charts and did visual backtesting on the same area, the arrows that caused the losing trades on the simulator disappeared and reappeared in more desirable locations.

Reading from all the posts I was told that HGI only repaints once the candle closes not after you reload of the charts, I am not sure if the FX Blue simulator is accurate in predicting the HGI in real time, if so I would really appreciate your feedback and experience as to the accuracy of FX Blue (OHLC logic) and HGI..

Thanks

Hi Vlad,

You have to watch the Hgi arrow in real time for it to make sense. From the time the arrow is displayed, it will remain in place provided the candle closes above or below the area the signal was given. Yes, it is true that the arrow will disappear if the candle closes above or below the area (in other words the opposite area) of the signal. Yes, it is true that the arrow will show up if the trend moves back in the direction of the original signal.
You have to take it for what it is and it cannot be used as a stand-alone indicator. I use it in conjunction with Stochs and moving averages. I have attached a chart of live manual trades taken and have shown the blue vertical lines in the area where the signal was given in conjunction with stochastics. The benefit I get with HGI is that it alerts me to a possible signal and I take the trade only if my other conditions are met.
Do not use Hgi on timeframes lower than 4hr or alternatively use it if you get a 4hr signal and wait for arrows on the lower timeframes to be given before entering.

It is what it is and take it for what it is. It helps me and many others. Like it or lump it.

Cheers.

While reading through this thread I realised I must have missed the HGI Basics Zip folder. Is it still available as I cant see it on the first page. I have set up HGI and it's up and running. I was just curious about the MA lines I have seen on many charts. I have surmised they are 240/60 LWMAs from going through the whole thread here.
Any help with that Zip folder if still available would be much appreciated.

Hi Mundu,

Here is a cheat sheet posted by Kim in June 2019 in the Hgi thread.
HGI Cheat Sheet.pdf
Hope it helps

PS, Yes I still use the 240/60 Lwma's set to open up to this very day.

Cheers
Leon

Wow. Thanks. By the way the forum seems rather quiet. Frankly I wasn't expecting a response. Have just recently started on the HGI and it's amazing.

What stands out for me in this forum is the exceptional coding experience of Steve, Renexxx, Milanese, Tomele, and more. We are an active bunch, probably more subdued lately  Hang in, we are always around.

Cheers

SHF is a quiet forum and deliberately so. Members are allowed to post only when they have something useful to post - hence the various threads where noobs and confused people can ask their questions without fearing retribution.

This means that those of us in charge can read every post; I do not know if all the mods do so, but I do. We can instantly jump on the trolls/scammers/spammers/general dimwits that flourish so freely elsewhere.

The brilliant thinkers contributing to SHF thus are allowed to continue their brilliant thinking unmolested. They make SHF the fantastic place it is to be.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

Thanks for the response. I have really learnt a lot from reading and re-reading the various threads particularly this one. Am very grateful for providing such a wonderful forum.
