Hi Gertje,Gertje wrote:I started going line to line on tuesday, and moved on going from every line between PA and SR1 to SR1.Pipstubborn wrote:Gertje, Congratulations. Can you ilustrate me? Do you TP at 2-3 lines of the daily pivots? or go line by line on the H1?
Thanks for your help
Re-funded my account with $130,- tuesday and am up 2269 pips since. Mainly due to JPY buy's, I put pending buy's on every weekly line and TP at the 2nd line from there. For example;
- R2 -> R1
- MR2 -> MR1
- R1 -> P
- MR1 -> MS1
- etc.
This way I am always in 2 trades, limiting my DD and doubling the amount of pips the pair travels north. With 2 trades [$0.01/ pip] a JPY-pair the DD will be managable.
Congrats on pip collection & thanks for info.
What I'm still finding hard to get is the correlating signals from 4H & 1H.. When I look at the JPY 4h charts I only see long signals on monday when RSI was flatlined at the bottom. So I get how you could look for similar signals on the 1h chart... but from Tuesday onwards the RSI 4h has moved away and is at the top (ob) by end if tuesday, so what tells you to keep trading long on 1h then? Or are you just using the 1h stoch & the fact that we're about the 240?
If you had the time to markup a 4h & 1h chart, I would be v. grateful.
From my own experience, I entered too early on monday morning for all the wrong reasons (caught up in yen hysteria, having missed the initial pips up while on holiday), then woke up to a big DD, entered some more (stupid), and had v. big DD by end of Monday spikes (-22%)... just managed to close them all now taking a -2.9% hit - which I'm nailing to my office wall as a reminder of what not to do... lesson learnt.... 1% per trade max - no exceptions.
Big DD doesn't help you sleep at night!
But I can't say it enough - thanks to Bob & all contributors here - excellent thread, sound theory, great system - thanks
cheers
