Re: 10.6 EDSEL
I spent much of the 2nd half of last year working on BASA and only really started to properly follow 10.6 in Dec. Since 1st January, I have been trading 10.6 (DEMO only) and whilst I have made plenty of mistakes, the results have been very encouraging, although at different times I did have significant drawdown. Due to a number of mistakes (especially in the first couple of weeks) with trades taken, I have also been using recovery trades when trades go in the wrong direction.
Moving forward I will be working on reducing drawdown and reducing the number of recovery trades I have to take.

Hi Bob your weekly CSS reads are a great help. Had the best week ever on AUS and NZD pairs.nanningbob » Fri Jan 31, 2014 2:24 pm wrote:Just to let you know I am leaving Monday for Santa Clara (San Francisco area). My internet quit working at my house so I am not able to get on line there. I cant get it repaired because everything is closed here for the holidays. So I may or may not be able to make my CSS reads like usual. We will see. Anyway happy trading. Jan. has been one crazy month for me. I went 12% up to 2% down to 3% up to break even. Sheesh.

I like the presentation you have there of your trades. Can you post it and is there one that will do your open live trades. I posted earlier the Iexposure indi and wanted totals put on the bottom but so far I have not see one. I would like to know my total exposure of buy and sell lots in play but I exposure doesnt give that. Do you have one?? Thanks.fxozgirl » Sat Feb 01, 2014 4:56 am wrote:I spent much of the 2nd half of last year working on BASA and only really started to properly follow 10.6 in Dec. Re: 10.6 EDSEL
Also a week by summary of trades would be neat. I could punch in the dates for the whole year of 2013 and it would give me each weeks summary. Right now I would have to do it week by week 52 times to get that info.

Re: 10.6 EDSEL
I thought I would do this now since I may not have time later this weekend. My CSS reads for this coming week.
CAD still in never never land all by itself. It finally seems to have found the bottom and its rate of decrease is slowing. It may still have some selling power but it looks like its on its way back from the abyss. If a good sell looks good you can take it but it may no longer break previous lows/highs.
AUD same thing as the CAD, it has leveled off showing that its rate of decrease is now level meaing sells can still be played but you probably wont see the continuous drops like we have see the last two weeks. More likely you will start seeing reversal patterns like double tops/bottoms or head and shoulder patterns.
NZD is still angling down strongly. As you know I am a strong follower of the NZD and during the week the AUD crosses back above the NZD that should signal that the NZD weakness period will be coming to the end. So at least at the beginning of the week I will still be looking for NZD sells.
GBP,EUR,CHF uptrend seems to have stalled and will go into range mode. Any bad news with any of them will probably send them into a DT. Most likely GBP will range with some UT and the EUR, CHF will drift downwards but I dont expect real strong moves from any of these three unless caused by the other currency they are paired to.
So I would still be looking for NZD sell opportunities and the rest will range until something blows them back up or out. I expect CAD to recover some now from its big drop.

Re: 10.6 EDSEL
JPY has moved to the top and has shown some strong moves. With JPY bond sales starting towards the end of the week. I expect its UT to level and begin weakening. By next week I will be selling it once again.
USD the news says it should get stronger, the QE lessening should make it stronger, the pundits say it should get stronger, and then a bad news story breaks out and it sits bouncing up and down. Reminds me of the story of the little red train that could. Chugging up the hill with all its might, struggle struggle.
I watching the eur/usd and usd/chf crossing there. Looks like a good time to buy??? gbp/usd cross would confirm it and then usd/jpy cross would be all in on USD buys. Come on little red train, climb that hill, climb, climb. I want to buy USD, I want to, I really, really do.
Watch for aud crossing the nzd and then the nzd getting stronger a day or two later. I am going to do a study of the commodity currencies with CSS. See what that turns up.
